Frequently asked questions
What does NPUMark measure?
How many TOPS each AI engine in your device — the NPU, the GPU and the CPU, through every runtime that reaches them — actually produces on a peak test, and how fast it gives correct answers on real neural networks. The NPUMark score is the most TOPS the best engine produced, labelled with the processor, the engine and the number format.
Why is my score a GPU number, not the NPU?
The score is the best engine’s peak, whichever processor it runs on. Every engine’s own peak and delivered figures are shown beside it, so your NPU’s number is always on the result.
What is “delivered”?
The geometric mean of the TOPS the scored real networks (MobileNetV3, ResNet-50, DeepLabV3, Granite Embedding 30M) reach on an engine, one request at a time. The gap between peak and delivered is what real networks leave on the table.
What does “comparable” mean, and why isn’t my result ranked?
A run is comparable when its workload pack verified, the score exists with verified math and is stable, and it isn’t a quick run. Only comparable results that pass the server’s plausibility checks are ranked; the others keep their result page, labelled with the reasons.
What is a score version?
Anything that can move a number bumps the score version, and results compare only within one version. Every leaderboard shows one score version at a time.
Why don’t I see my TensorRT for RTX result here?
TensorRT for RTX runs in the app, but its licence restricts publishing its results, so your local report shows them, while the shared result and this site leave them out.
What does a shared result contain?
Our Privacy Policy describes what is shared and how we handle it.
How do I stop sharing, or delete what I shared?
Turn off “Share Results Online” in the app, or run “npumark-cli share off”. To request deletion, use the deletion form with the ID from the app’s “Copy Machine ID” command.
What is a verification code?
Every shared run gets a 12-character code derived from the server’s signed receipt. Enter it at npumark.com/verify to see the result as the database holds it.
What does “attested” mean?
Apps from the App Store and Google Play can prove to the server that they are unmodified (Apple App Attest, Google Play Integrity). Other builds are signed but not attested; attestation is shown on the result and is not required for ranking.
Is it safe to run?
NPUMark deliberately runs your processors at sustained full load: expect heat, fan noise and battery drain while it runs. Read the risks in the Terms of Use before running it.
Is NPUMark free?
Yes. Personal, educational and press use is free, and so is commercial evaluation during NPUMark 3.x.
Can I publish my results?
Yes: label them “Measured with NPUMark” with the app and score versions, keep the figures unaltered and link the result page.
