Citing NPUMark results

You may publish your results. These are the rules our Terms of Use (§7) refer to; commercial use, including advertising and marketing claims, must follow them.

1. Label every figure

Identify each published result as measured with NPUMark, followed by the app version and the score version shown on the result:

Measured with NPUMark <app version>, score <score version>

For a result from the current release that reads: Measured with NPUMark 3.2.10, score 3.2.

2. Keep the figures as shown

  • Quote the number with its unit and its label — processor, engine and number format — as the result shows them, for example “<score> TOPS · NPU (Core ML) · FP16”.
  • Don’t round up, scale, add multipliers, or recompute a figure; don’t present a peak as a delivered figure or the reverse.
  • Screenshots of the app and of result pages are fine as long as nothing in them is edited.
  • Figures beside the score (the large-batch peak, the box total) are labelled as such and are never the score.

Link each figure to its public result page, https://npumark.com/verify/<code>, so readers can check it. For a leaderboard median, link the chip page (https://npumark.com/chips/<chip>) and say it is a median of ranked runs.

4. Compare within one score version

Score versions are separate series. Compare results only when they share a score version, and say which one. Results marked “not comparable” or “flagged as implausible” are not ranked; if you publish one, say so.

5. No implied endorsement

Don’t state or imply that NPUMark or Astrial Foundry endorses, certifies, or recommends a product, and don’t use the NPUMark name or logo as a badge or seal. Using the name to say a figure was measured with NPUMark is fine.

6. Local-only results

Results from engines the app labels “local only” are left out of the results database because their licensor restricts publication. Publishing them is subject to that licensor’s terms (Terms of Use §7).

7. Commercial use

Advertising and marketing claims follow all of the rules above. Questions about a specific use: [email protected].

These rules complement the Terms of Use; where they differ, the Terms apply.
